Mechanical Design Engineer - Electromechanical ProductsSouth Wales £45,000 to £55,000 Yolk Recruitment is exclusively partnered with an established product development and manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for its growing R&D team.

This is a broad product development role focused primarily on mechanical engineering, with some involvement in electrical and electronic systems. A background in mechatronics or electrical and electronic engineering, or experience developing electromechanical products is required. You will support the development of a new product from its current stage through design, testing and preparation for manufacture. The work will include 3D design, prototyping, technical documentation, validation and collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers and other engineering specialists.This

is what you'll be doing

• Developing mechanical components, assemblies and product enclosures using 3D CAD.
• Supporting the development of an electromechanical product from design through to commercial launch.
• Producing concepts, detailed designs, drawings, prototypes and supporting engineering documentation.
• Working with an electronics specialist to review proposed solutions and ensure they meet product and market requirements.
