Cost Estimator – Project Controls

Overview

• Provide estimating service delivery, focusing on leading estimates from feasibility through to completion
• Work across projects of different types and sectors
• Deliver high-quality client outputs
• Lead on peer review of outputs from other team members
• Provide guidance to more junior colleagues in support of their growth and experience
• Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of estimating specific software and generic office applications
• Lead internal review and quality assurance processes for client deliverables
• Manage and communicate complex issues in a straightforward format
• Take a leading role in support of win work activities (bids, proposals, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in an Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction sectors or Equivalent Work Experience, preferable
• Desirable professional memberships, or working towards Chartership, RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar
• Wider understanding of commercial and contractual requirements and the crossover to the impact on estimating or forecasting costs
• Knowledge of indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and techniques to analyse and assess project deliverability
• Stakeholder engagement skills including being able to work seamlessly with designers, engineers, project managers and clients
• In possession of, or with the capability to obtain a level of security clearance (ideal but not always necessary for the right candidate)

• Bachelor's Degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction
• Chartership (RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE)
