Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer – Energy from Waste

£60,000 – £65,000 + annual bonus

SCINERGY Recruitment are supporting a leading Energy from Waste facility in Cardiff with the appointment of an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer.

Based at Trident Park, this is a major Energy Recovery Facility processing around 425,000 tonnes of waste each year, generating enough energy to power the equivalent of 98,280 homes, and helping divert 95% of South Wales' residual waste away from landfill.

This is a key site-based role focused on plant availability, safe maintenance delivery, asset performance, and the ongoing improvement of EC&I systems across a critical operational energy facility.

What you'll be doing day to day:

• Taking responsibility for EC&I engineering and maintenance across the plant, ensuring electrical, control and instrumentation systems are maintained to a high standard and support long-term site availability.
• Coordinating, scheduling and planning maintenance activity across planned and unplanned shutdowns, including work on key systems such as HV equipment, CEMS and associated plant infrastructure.
