Graduate Civil Engineer
Location:
Cardiff Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Bennett and Game are pleased to be representing a well-established, employee-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff. With over 30 years of industry presence, they are now seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their growing team due to continued project success and a strong pipeline of projects.
Job Overview- Assist with the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
- Support drainage and infrastructure design for planning and technical approval stages
- Work on projects typically valued between £4 million and £15 million
- Gain experience across residential developments, education facilities, commercial refurbishments, and heritage conversions
- Assist with the preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and external consultants
- Develop an understanding of adoptable standards including SuDS, Section 104, 106, and 278
- Attend design meetings and assist with client communication
- Work closely with senior engineers while progressing towards professional qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
- Placement year, internship, or graduate experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy is advantageous but not essential
- An understanding of drainage and infrastructure design principles
- Familiarity with software such as Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, or Causeway Flow would be beneficial
- Keen to work towards ICE Chartership
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a collaborative office environment
- Based within commuting distance of Cardiff or willing to relocate
- Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
