CXA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join its growing team on a major project in Cardiff. This is a client-side opportunity, offering the chance to lead the mechanical commissioning strategy and delivery on a high-profile development from installation through to successful handover.

Working as part of the client's project team, you'll oversee the commissioning process, ensuring mechanical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

As the Mechanical Commissioning Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage all mechanical commissioning activities across the project.
• Review commissioning programmes, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure systems are commissioned in line with project specifications and industry best practice.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and drive solutions to maintain programme milestones.
• Witness testing, validation, and performance demonstrations.
• Manage commissioning documentation, sign-off, and handover processes.
• Champion health, safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the commissioning phase.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience managing mechanical commissioning on major construction or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and associated mechanical building services.
• Experience working with principal contractors, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to lead teams and resolve technical challenges.
