Senior Civil / Structural Engineer (Water Experience) - Contract - Cardiff
Location:
Cardiff
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Nuclear and Renewable Energy sectors. This role is based in our client's Cardiff offices though travel to other sites may be required occasionally.
Water industry experience is key to this role.
Role & Responsibilities- Acting as interface for all key Civil / Structural enquiries regarding current or upcoming projects.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Develop technical documents and scope of work packages for projects.
- Develop civil and structural designs from concept through to detailed design including structural steel, concrete structures, foundations and drainage infrastructure.
- Review and approve design modifications with projects at various stages from concept though FEED and detailed design / EPC.
- Providing technical input to tenders and proposals as well as supporting manpower planning projections.
- Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the project multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Undertake Client facing work on sites providing technical advice and operational support.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
- Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations.
- Attend and manage in-house or site-based meetings and reviews.
- Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and site services.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using Revit.
- Must have a degree in Civil and / or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered status preferred but not essential.
- Water industry experience is key to this role.
- Additional experience in Energy sectors useful but not essential.
- Knowledge of Revit.
Initially a 12 month with the potential for extensions, this role is deemed to be outside IR35
