Senior Temporary Works Engineer
We're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK. Locations:
Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth. Agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired.
Hours:
40 hours per week flexibility on hours available if desired. Salary:
Starting from £50k per annum. Sector:
Working across all sectors of the built environment.
- Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM, SHE procedures and QA processes.
- Acting as Project Lead for multiple projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams, from bid through to delivery.
- Developing yourself, other individuals and the wider team, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, enabling the business to adapt to current and future challenges.

Requirements- Practically-minded, with a strong grounding in civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards.
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with an equivalent level of experience.
- Enjoy applying first principles thinking to real-world construction challenges, combining a keen eye for detail with sound engineering judgement, a focus on safety, buildability, sustainability and a flair for innovation and creative problem-solving.
- Have experience of temporary works design and/or management, or other practical construction experience.
- Have strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoy working as part of collaborative teams.
