Your role
* Design and specify electrical building services systems including power, lighting, earthing, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection.
* Produce detailed engineering calculations, technical specifications (NBS), reports, and project documentation.
* Collaborate with BIM teams, Global Technology Centre (GTC), and multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs.
* Attend client and contractor meetings, undertake site surveys and inspections, and monitor installation works.
* Manage assigned project deliverables, budgets, timelines, risks, and scope changes.
* Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and governance standards.
* Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers.
* Contribute to digital engineering, sustainability, innovation, and AI-driven design initiatives.## About you
* Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status (or working towards CEng via CIBSE/IET).
* Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or contractor design environment.
* Proficient in industry software including Amtech/Pro Design, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Microsoft Office, and ideally Revit and HV design tools.
* Strong understanding of UK technical standards, BIM, digital engineering, and modern design practices.
* Knowledge of decarbonisation, energy efficiency, building physics, carbon data analysis, commissioning, and performance evaluation.
* Experience or interest in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Photovoltaic (PV) design, and renewable energy solutions.
* Strong communication, report writing, presentation, and client-facing skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads independently, work within budgets and deadlines, and drive innovation in Revit, Digital Engineering, and AI.## Rewards & benefits
