The consultancy is busy across a wide mix of sectors, including:
  • Private and social housing
  • Care homes
  • Renewable energy, notably wind farms
  • Industrial and commercial developments
  • Remediation
  • Rail
About You
  • Around eight years’ post-graduate experience, with a track record of taking design responsibility for projects
  • Chartered status is likely, though candidates with comparable experience and expertise are welcome
  • Strong competence in drainage, highways and civil infrastructure design
  • Familiarity with adoption procedures for highway authorities and water utilities
  • Working knowledge of Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An empathetic, supportive approach to leading a team, and confidence with clients
  • Current UK driving licence
  • Client management and marketing aptitude, and Welsh language skills, would be welcomed but are not essential
What’s on Offer
  • A competitive salary, matched to your experience
  • A clear route to Associate and potentially Director level, with no obligation to follow it
  • Annual bonuses so you share in the company’s success
  • Generous leave allowance
  • An above-standard pension, plus free access to a financial adviser
  • Free private health insurance for you and your family, including children up to 25
  • Free travel insurance for you and your immediate family
  • Professional membership fees paid, with ICE mentor accreditation and mentoring for other professional bodies
  • Funded training and time off to attend courses
  • Flexible working
  • Modern open-plan offices with free parking and excellent road links
  • Cycle-to-work scheme, childcare vouchers, free eye tests and Gympass
  • A friendly culture with company-funded team outings, a Christmas meal for staff and partners, and unlimited fresh fruit, drinks and snacks in the office
