Customer Service Rep
Description
Summary:
Assist the Bakery Manager in the day-to‑day activities in the Bakery Department.
- Packaging product, rotating product and slicing.
- Maintaining proper product assortment and maintain displays or racks.
- Unloading product from trucks and organizing back room.
- Filling and cleaning racks, displays, shelves and displays as needed.
- Takes customers’ orders and answers phone.
- Sweeping and mopping floor, and backroom. Overall sanitation for department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Observe all store rules and company policies.
- Maintain a neat, well‑groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
- Follow safety guidelines when working, especially when lifting, using cutting tools, large machinery, ladders, stretch and take breaks when performing repetitive motions, etc.
- Follow health guidelines to ensure safe product is provided to our customers.
- Knowledge of Weight & Measure Laws.

Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language AbilityAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Math AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- The employee must frequently walk, talk, or hear, and reach with the hands and arms; occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel.
- The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 50 pounds and frequently exert or lift negligible amounts of weight.
- Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus including possessing sufficient visual acuity to verify invoices and other written documents.
- Be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racks and storage.
- Be able to sweep and mop floor and lift and carry out trash containers to be emptied in an outside bin.
- Have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies such as cleanup requests due to accidental spills or breakage of glass.
- Be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust and chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents such as ammonia during routine housekeeping duties.
- Have sufficient memory retention skills to memorize weekly ad prices and memo items.
