Associate - Banking

We are seeking a talented associate to join our Banking and Finance Team in Cardiff.

In this role, you will work with some of the UK’s major banks, including Lloyds, RBS, HSBC and Santander, as well as alternative debt providers such as Thin Cats, Oak North and Beechbrook Capital. You will also collaborate closely with our corporate and property teams on a variety of funding transactions, making your contribution central to the delivery of complex deals for our clients.

You will advise clients on their banking contracts and arrangements, particularly in areas such as acquisition finance, property finance, asset based lending, restructuring and refinancing. You will be responsible for preparing and negotiating facility agreements and other documentation, leading or supporting transactions, attending client meetings and coordinating with overseas lawyers where necessary.

Success in this role requires knowledge of banking law, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in financial developments. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
