Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

SRM Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading, private equity-backed business to appoint a commercially focused Director of FP&A & BI.

With a strong heritage and international presence, the business is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth and transformation. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape financial insight, performance reporting and value creation at a pivotal stage of its journey.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead budgeting, forecasting and business intelligence across the organisation. You will play a central role in driving EBITDA growth through robust financial modelling, insightful sales and margin analytics, and the development of best-in-class performance dashboards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the annual budget and monthly reforecast process
• Delivering detailed sales and gross margin analysis across products, channels and markets
• Identifying key commercial and operational performance drivers
• Building dynamic dashboards and KPI frameworks to enable real-time decision-making
• Developing advanced financial models and scenario analysis
• Partnering closely with commercial and operational leaders to influence strategy
• Driving continuous improvement across FP&A processes and reporting

The Candidate

• 5–7+ years’ experience in FP&A or business finance
• Experience with in manufacturing, retail or consumer-led environments
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability
• Advanced Excel and BI/ERP systems expertise (Power BI essential)
• A professional qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred)
