Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Team Manager to lead our Tax Operations team within Finance & Accounting Operations. This is a people‑focused role with real influence, combining leadership, technical expertise and collaboration. You’ll play a key part in ensuring high‑quality operational tax delivery while developing the capability and confidence of your team in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Leading, motivating and developing a team responsible for operational tax activities
- Ensuring tax processes are delivered accurately and on time in line with documented controls and timetables
- Managing reconciliations between tax accounts and submissions against agreed KPIs
- Maintaining a strong financial control environment and supporting internal and external audits
- Building effective relationships with Group Tax, Finance and operational stakeholders
- Reviewing and improving processes to strengthen efficiency and reduce risk
- Leading and embedding change from projects that impact operational tax activities
- Supporting fair and consistent outcomes by meeting internal customer needs and regulatory expectations
- A qualified accountant or someone qualified through relevant experience in a finance environment
- Sound knowledge of corporate tax accounting and reporting
- Experience working with accounting systems, ledger postings and reconciliations
- Confident people management experience with a focus on development and performance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships across teams
- Experience identifying process improvements and driving meaningful change
- Confidence prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines in a structured way
