Search are supporting the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join a growing business in Morayshire. This is a highly visible role that combines management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and influence decision-making across the organisation.
You'll play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting, supporting budgets and forecasts, and providing analysis that helps drive performance and efficiency. This position would suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys translating numbers into meaningful business insight.
Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
- Analysing financial performance, variances and key cost drivers, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations
- Producing KPI reports, financial dashboards and trend analysis for management teams
- Supporting statutory reporting and wider finance compliance activities
- Leading the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts
- Developing financial models to support planning, scenario analysis and business decisions
- Monitoring budget performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs
- Conducting profitability, margin and cost analysis across business activities
- Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
- Supporting business cases, project evaluations and investment decisions
- Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS etc), Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
- Previous experience in management accounting or similar role
- Demonstrable understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial models
- Experience using accounting and ERP systems
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Salary of £46,000-£52,000, depending on experience
