What you’ll be doing We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join Corporate Asset Management ("CAM") and support the continued growth of CIB! CAM is responsible for the active management of the Bank's Corporate & Institutional lending portfolio and plays a critical role in optimising risk-adjusted returns, supporting disciplined origination and maintaining strong first-line credit stewardship across the Corporate Coverage loan book.

This is primarily an internal-facing role, with significant influence on client outcomes through close partnership with Coverage, Credit, Product and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead the management of a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, provide rigorous credit risk assessment and insight, influence transaction outcomes through Deal Screening and approval forums, and support delivery of the team's financial, strategic and risk objectives.

Success in the role will be demonstrated through strong credit stewardship, high-quality transaction recommendations, proactive portfolio management, identification of risk and capital optimisation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering strong credit stewardship through proactive risk identification, monitoring and portfolio management.
  • Lead Portfolio Management assessment of new lending opportunities and material credit events, influencing transaction outcomes through balanced commercial and credit recommendations.
  • Support portfolio performance through active management of risk, returns, capital usage and balance sheet resources.
  • Help shape sector and portfolio strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise portfolio composition, concentration risk and future lending capacity.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Coverage, Credit, Product and Risk teams, providing insight, challenge and support throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Coach and develop colleagues while driving continuous improvement, technology adoption and simplification across portfolio management activities.

What we’re looking for
  • Strong experience in credit risk assessment, portfolio management and financial analysis, with the ability to identify risks, assess opportunities and make sound risk-reward decisions. We’re ideally seeking 5+ Years of experience in this.
  • Good understanding of corporate banking, lending products and the markets in which corporate clients operate, with the ability to balance commercial objectives and risk management.
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and provide constructive challenge on transactions, portfolio strategy and credit events.
  • 5+ years of experience in assessing portfolio-level trends and contributing to portfolio strategy, capital optimisation and performance objectives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching and developing colleagues and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
