National Energy System Operator (NESO) are now looking for a Revenue and Charging Analyst to be a part of our growing team that sets the Transmission Network Tariffs.

This exciting opportunity will allow the post holder to play a crucial role in shaping the network charging regime of the future as part of the ongoing Reformed National Pricing (RNP) program. Evaluating potential changes to transmission network charges is a crucial component of the RNP program and a key deliverable of the team. The Revenue Tariffs team operates within the wider CFO function to deliver timely and accurate transmission network and system tariffs for the recovery of over £10bn of revenue per annum.

As a Revenue and Charging Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the calculation, analysis and delivery of network tariffs. This role can be based in Warwick or Wokingham, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part-time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities

As an Analyst within the Revenue Team, you’ll be responsible for the calculation and analysis of various aspects of the tariff setting process. Providing expertise in the development of new charging policies and methodology. Ensuring that processes are developed to reflect ongoing change to the charging methodology. Performing complex analysis of large quantities of data, to support the tariff setting business processes.

Managing customer and stakeholder relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement are developed. Presenting complex information confidently to internal and external stakeholders. Supporting high-quality analysis and modelling of tariffs so that business risks and opportunities are fully understood. Identifing and implement business process improvements to make charge setting, risk management and revenue forecasting processes more efficient and effective.

About You

Strong experience of manipulating and querying very large quantities of data in spreadsheets and databases, using Excel and Power BI. Strong communication skills, including ability to produce and deliver accurate written reports and presentation material to internal or external audiences. Passionate about building effective internal and external relationships. Ability to successfully manage multiple activities to set time constraints that can evolve with organisational change.

Knowledge of electricity, legal, codes and charging regimes would be beneficial but not essential.
