Job Role: Senior Credit Strategy Analyst
Location: Solihull, Manchester or Cardiff (with hybrid working)
Salary: £62,000 pa
Hours: 35 hours per week

We’re building a modern Credit Strategy and Decision Science capability that combines commercial thinking, advanced analytics and automation to deliver better outcomes for our customers.
What you`ll be doingAs a Senior Credit Strategy Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping lending decisions across our Consumer Finance portfolios. You’ll have ownership of credit strategies, influence portfolio performance and work across both established and evolving lending propositions, helping us identify new opportunities and develop strategies that support responsible, sustainable growth.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, taking ownership and helping shape the future direction of a growing lending business. This is a hands‑on strategy role focused on shaping lending decisions, not simply reporting on performance.
- Own, develop and optimise credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Lead analytical investigations to identify portfolio trends, risks and commercial opportunities.
- Support the ongoing optimisation of the V12 retail finance portfolio through data‑driven strategy changes.
- Support the development of embedded finance propositions through robust credit strategy and analytical insight.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend strategy changes that improve customer and commercial outcomes.
- Produce high‑quality analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Use SQL, Python, SAS or similar analytical tools to solve business problems and automate processes.
- Work closely with Decision Scientists to understand predictive models and ensure strategies maximise model performance.
- Support junior analysts in their day‑to‑day analytical and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, Operations and Technology to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and customer outcomes.
Our Credit Strategy team sits at the heart of lending decisions, balancing commercial growth with responsible lending.
You’ll be trusted to own strategy, identify opportunities through analytics and work closely with Decision Science, Product, Finance and Operations to continuously improve customer outcomes and portfolio performance.
As our lending propositions continue to evolve, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we lend, manage risk and deploy increasingly sophisticated analytical and decisioning capabilities.
