Accounts Assistant

Due to growth, a new role has been created in the busy finance team of a service sector company based in Cardiff. Reporting to the Finance Manager and joining a team of four, this is an important role as the company continues to expand.

Applicants will be comfortable working in a high volume transactional environment as well as being experienced to assist with various month end duties.

Accounts Assistant job description

• All aspects of the Purchase Ledger function including processing payments, resolving queries, bank reconciliations etc.
• Involved with Sales Ledger duties including invoicing clients and credit control.
• Posting journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts.
• Gathering information of statutory returns.

Accounts Assistant person specification

• Demonstrable experience of working in an Accounts/Finance role.
• Comfortable working towards deadlines.
• High level ability with Microsoft Office and experience of using an Accounting software, Xero, Sage etc.
• Good communication skills and an open demeanour.
• Comfortable working in a changing work environment.
