Up to £28,000 | 9:00am-5:00pm | Permanent | Cardiff | Site-Based
Yolk Recruitment is exclusively supporting a well-known Cardiff brand with the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join its established finance team.
This is a great opportunity to start or develop your finance career, with the chance to gain fast exposure across a broad range of finance activities within a busy, high-volume environment. You'll work closely with the Senior Financial Controller and wider finance team, gaining practical experience across different areas of the function.
The Role
You'll support the day-to-day finance function, getting involved across transactional finance, reporting, budgeting and general finance administration.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Senior Financial Controller across day-to-day finance activities.
Assisting with purchase and sales ledger, maintaining accurate financial records and resolving discrepancies.
Updating financial databases and spreadsheets, including supporting budgets and tracking expenditure.
Assisting with financial reports, statements and audit requirements.
Supporting and managing PODs.
Keeping up to date with relevant financial legislation and best practice.
About You
This role would suit a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, graduate or AAT student looking to build their finance career. AAT Level 2 or above would be beneficial, although candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.
You'll need to be comfortable working in a busy environment, have good attention to detail and be keen to learn and develop. Xero experience would be beneficial.
With exposure to multiple areas of finance from day one, this is an opportunity to build your experience quickly and develop your career within an established finance team.
