Salary: £27,000 per annum
Are you looking to progress your career within finance? We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established business based in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts or finance experience to become part of a supportive team where you will gain exposure to a broad range of finance duties, including purchase ledger, reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end processes. Key Responsibilities- Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs
- Supporting sales ledger activities, including invoicing and account maintenance
- Performing bank and supplier account reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records and updating finance systems
- Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve account queries
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc finance administration duties
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role
- Good understanding of purchase ledger, reconciliations and invoice processing
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using finance or ERP systems would be advantageous
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- AAT qualification or studies would be advantageous but not essential
