Emergency Management Officer – Cardiff – Temporary

This is a temporary role and the rate is £18.85ph.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing and reviewing policies, plans and procedures required under the Civil Contingencies Act and other statutory regulations.

They will support the delivery of emergency management work programmes, lead specialist work streams, and prepare integrated response plans to ensure effective coordination during incidents. They will contribute to training and exercise programmes, maintain strong relationships with emergency services, voluntary agencies and partner organisations, and support business continuity arrangements to protect critical services.

The role also involves participating in an emergency on‑call rota, assisting with incident response both in and out of hours, attending meetings and exercises, and carrying out essential administrative tasks. The successful candidate will uphold equality, health and safety responsibilities and work flexibly across various locations as required.
