A respected planning consultancy is adding a Senior Town Planner to its Cardiff office. Its work spans Wales and offers a broad mix of application, promotion and advisory instructions.

Manage applications and site promotions across Wales while receiving support on larger strategic instructions.

• Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
• Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
• Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
• Support larger instructions while steadily increasing your own project responsibility.

MRTPi or working towards;
Welsh planning knowledge; confident reports and client communication. You should also be organised, dependable and able to explain planning issues in straightforward language. The business is interested in people who value good advice and long‑term client relationships rather than unnecessary internal politics.

The salary is £39,000–£49,000. The wider package includes hybrid working, bonus, pension, CPD and paid RTPI membership. Exact arrangements will depend on experience and will be discussed openly during the process.
