The role
Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about protecting Wales' natural environment?
Natural Resources Wales is looking for a Development Planning Assistant to join our Development Planning Advice Service, helping to ensure environmental considerations are at the heart of planning and development decisions across Wales.
In this important role, you will provide essential support to a team of specialist advisers who review planning proposals and provide expert environmental advice. Whether you are looking to begin your career or build on existing experience, you'll have the opportunity to develop valuable skills while making a meaningful contribution to Wales' sustainable future.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of a permanent position becoming available in the future.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.
Interviews will take place on 19/08/2026 & 20/08/2026 through Microsoft Teams.
