Description

Are you passionate about LUSH products and dedicated to providing exceptional spa experiences? Do you have a genuine desire to care and help people relax? If so, we would love for you to join our team as a LUSH Spa Therapist at our Cardiff Store and Spa.

Part‑time position available (22 hours/30 hours). For a 22‑hour contract we require 4 days of availability including one weekend day. For a 30‑hour contract we require 5 days of availability including one weekend day.

Interview, Onboarding and Training dates: TBC (subject to change).

Interviews and Trade Test: Weekend 10 August 2026

Onboarding: 4 weeks in Cardiff from 24 August 2026

Training in Poole: 6 weeks following onboarding

Selected candidate will complete onboarding at LUSH Spa Cardiff on 15 June 2026 and during this period will learn about the brand, meet colleagues and begin training.

Upon completion of the 4 week onboarding period in Cardiff, you will attend a 6‑week training course at the LUSH Spa Training Centre in Poole, Dorset (Monday to Friday). Travel expenses to and from Poole are covered, and accommodations are provided.

Pay: Hourly wage based on experience.

Location: Based at LUSH Spa Cardiff with occasional travel for support, training, and events. Working from home not permitted.

Hours: 22–30 hours per week. Must include Friday and one weekend day. Working hours are determined by managers based on spa’s peak times and business flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Treatment Delivery:

  • Deliver a variety of spa treatments to the highest standard, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction at all times.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all treatments, contraindications, benefits and after‑care advice.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients and colleagues.
  • Be punctual and reliable, ensuring clients are seen on time and the treatment flow is smooth.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for every client.
  • Build rapport, actively listening to client needs and preferences to personalise their experience.
  • Offer expert advice on Lush products and treatments, recommending suitable options.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally and empathetically.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with spa teams to ensure smooth operation of the spa.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, sharing information and providing support as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to the spa’s ongoing development.

Sales & Promotion:

  • Actively promote spa treatments and products, upselling add‑on treatments and retail items where appropriate.
  • Support spa business goals by driving awareness and encouraging bookings.
  • Participate in promotional activities and events, representing the spa and LUSH brand positively.

Spa & Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of LUSH products and their benefits, confidently recommending suitable options.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on new product launches, treatment updates and company initiatives.
  • Participate in product knowledge training and actively seek opportunities to expand expertise.

Professional Development:

  • Take responsibility for your own professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and performance reviews, utilising feedback to improve performance.
  • Learn new treatments and techniques to expand your repertoire and offer a wider range of services.

Shop Floor Support:

  • When not performing treatments, provide support to the shop floor team, acting as an extension of the spa.
