Job Description & How to Apply Below

The HEIW Pharmacy Deanery invites applications for the position of Pharmacy Clinical Placement Facilitator to support the Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Clinical Placement Programme in Wales. This role is available as a 0.6 FTE secondment or maternity cover.

Developed in partnership by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) and the Schools of Pharmacy at Bangor, Cardiff and Swansea Universities, the programme offers pharmacy undergraduates additional supervised placement days in hospitals, GP practices, and community pharmacies throughout their four-year course.

The programme is structured around Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs), enabling students to acquire essential clinical experience to achieve the 'does' level corresponding to Miller's Triangle.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for managing an allocated region within this nationwide initiative, utilising their pharmaceutical expertise and background in facilitating Pharmacy Learning outcomes to ensure the delivery of a quality-assured programme.

The post requires the development of effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including Higher Education Institutions and host training organisations across Local Health Boards and community and primary care sectors.

This position presents an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic team driving impactful change in pharmacist education and training across Wales.
