Job Summary
Totus Neurorehabilitation is a growing community neurorehabilitation service providing brain injury rehabilitation and cognitive assessments across South West England, South Wales, and East Anglia. We are expanding our East Anglia team and seek an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist. The role is an associate position where you will be self‑employed, contracted to individual clients, and responsible for your own caseload. You will maintain a full UK driving licence, have access to a car for business purposes, and be able to travel long distances;
travel time is paid at half the clinical rate. The role is primarily based at home with periodic community visits.
- Manage an independent caseload of complex neurological rehabilitation clients.
- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments using appropriate psychometric tools.
- Deliver neuropsychological rehabilitation interventions in the community.
- Interpret complex clinical data for diagnosis and prognosis.
- Provide detailed written reports and feedback to clients, families and referrers.
- Coordinate with case managers, legal teams, insurers and external agencies.
- Participate in MDT meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Maintain and store confidential clinical data in line with GDPR and ICO.
- Use outcome measures to evaluate and guide interventions.
- Complete risk assessments and ensure appropriate safety measures.
- Provide education to clients, families and care teams on needs and strategies.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Evidence of continuing professional development in line with HCPC/BPS requirements.
- Experience working with adults with neurological conditions during training or equivalent.
- Experience delivering psychological interventions relevant to medical or neuro conditions.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Access to own transport and a valid UK driving licence.
- Indemnity insurance, a valid DBS certificate and registration with the ICO.
- Post‑graduate qualification or training in Clinical Neuropsychology (e.g., PGDip or MSc).
- BPS registration as a Chartered Psychologist.
- Completion of relevant CPD in neuropsychological assessment or rehabilitation.
- Experience working in the private healthcare sector.
- Experience working in community settings and/or home visits.
- Familiarity with digital health platforms and cloud‑based record systems.
- Understanding of psychological models, theories and interventions applicable to neurorehabilitation.
- Ability to undertake structured cognitive assessments and produce clinical formulations under supervision.
- High level of competence in verbal and written communication.
- Awareness of safeguarding, consent and capacity legislation.
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload prioritising work to meet deadlines.
- Competence in IT systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Commitment to team working, reflective practice and CPD.
- Strong organisational skills and resilience in emotionally demanding situations.
- Willingness to travel across regions for patient home visits or meetings.
