Job summaryWe are seeking an experienced oncology nurse to lead SACT Services at Velindre Cancer Centre as part of the SACT & Medicines Management Leadership Team.
Main dutiesProvide visible, expert nursing leadership to ensure the safe, effective and person‑centred delivery of SACT and shape service delivery, governance and continuous improvement across all SACT pathways within the centre and outreach units.
Responsibilities- Lead the SACT service – manage clinical operations and provide expert support.
- Develop new patient pathways and quality assurance measures.
- Represent Velindre Cancer Centre at a Wales‑wide level and deliver service‑development initiatives.
- Direct line management of senior nurses within the SACT delivery service.
- Participate in the operational out‑of‑hours rota.
- Collaborate closely with senior nurses, pharmacists, the wider MDT and national stakeholders.
- Contribute to governance, performance management and strategic decision‑making regarding SACT services.
- Significant oncology nursing experience.
- Evidence of advanced clinical assessment skills.
- Proven experience in service improvement, change management and cross‑boundary working.
- Strong communication, leadership and coaching abilities.
- Commitment to evidence‑based practice and high‑quality patient care.
- Current UK professional registration.
