Radiographer - CT & General Imaging

We have 2 posts available: one permanent and one 9‑month secondment to cover maternity leave. Obtain permission from your current line manager before applying for the secondment.

Work as a Radiographer providing care for patients attending the general Radiology Department and processing images appropriately.

• Provide radiographic services to patients in the general Radiology Department.
• Process images accurately and efficiently.
• Work independently with no direct clinical supervision, reporting to Senior/Superintendent Radiographers.
• Participate in an on‑call, emergency and shift‑based radiographic service for the Health Board.
• Perform CT Head scans during and outside of normal working hours.
• Cover night and weekend duties as part of the Radiology Directorate shift/out‑of‑hours rota.
• Assist in the preceptorship transition for new students, gaining experience in general imaging, fluoroscopy, theatre & mobile, dental imaging and CT scanning.
• Engage in Continuing Professional Development and participate in the core audit programme.

• BSc (Honours) or DCR (R) in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Band 5 level experience (desired).
• Welsh speaking & listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above (Welsh skills desirable).
