About Princes Court:
Princes Court is a male only service supporting 5 people with Mental Health diagnoses such as Schizophrenia, Schizo-Affective Disorder and Learning Disabilities. We support primarily gentlemen with a forensic background to safely integrate into community lifestyle mitigating risks. We focus on enabling them to develop skills, strengths, and resilience. We help them to form their own set of resources to self-manage and maintain well-being.
Our staff are experienced in supporting people who have a mental health diagnosis, a forensic background, people who have engaged in illicit substance and alcohol misuse, people who experience anxiety and low self-esteem etc. Staff work alongside other professionals across a multi-disciplinary team to provide a holistic approach of support.
As aSupport Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- Prompting the people we support to be independent whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
- Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking
