We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our dedicated and friendly multidisciplinary team at Holybourne Hospital on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist, supportive setting, delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

At Holybourne Hospital, we provide intensive treatment within a safe and compassionate environment for adults aged 18 and over who present in crisis with severe and complex mental health conditions.

You will work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team to deliver a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Our focus is on helping patients stabilise, develop insight, build coping strategies, and make meaningful progress in their recovery. We are committed to achieving the shortest clinically appropriate length of stay, supporting patients to step down appropriately.

You will be supported through regular supervision, professional development opportunities, and a strong culture of reflective practice.

This role is 37.5 hours per week.

You will be supported by and part of the existing Therapy  this role, you will deliver specialist Psychology intervention, including assessment, formulation, treatment planning, and outcome evaluation. Working closely with our experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will play a key role in managing risk, guiding treatment, and supporting the overall wellbeing and recovery of our patients.

You will be primarily based in the new Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) unit.

There will also be requirement and opportunity to apply your skills to the attached Acute Wards and a specialist Mental Health Residential Service providing rehabilitation, care and support to vulnerable people with complex mental health conditions.
** What you'll be doing:
*** With Support of the Head of Therapies, to develop the Clinical Model for PICU and Residential Service
* To undertake comprehensive clinical psychological assessments using a range of methods (file review, interviews, psychometric and behavioural observation)
* To complete clinical formulations and structured professional judgement risk assessments
* To deliver and evaluate evidence-based individual and group interventions
* To contribute to risk assessment, risk management and treatment planning within the MDT
* To administer, score and interpret clinical and neuropsychological assessments
* To produce high-quality written reports and act as a professional witness when required
* To support and guide colleagues in delivering psychologically informed interventions
* Contribute to clinical governance, audit, service development and training
* Maintain HCPC registration, CPD and compliance with regulatory and organisational standards
* Participate in clinical and line management supervision

*** An HCPC-registered Psychologist with strong clinical, communication and analytical skills
