Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Home Care Assistant (drivers only)

We are looking for caring, reliable Home Care Assistants to support individuals in their own homes across Cardiff.

You don’t need previous care experience to get started, just a positive attitude and a passion for helping others.

If you’ve ever worked in customer service, retail, hospitality, or any role where you’ve supported individuals, you already have the skills that matter. In care, it’s all about listening, understanding needs and making someone’s day that much better.

We’ll support you to learn exactly what great care looks like and how your role helps individuals achieve better outcomes - whether that’s remaining independent, feeling valued, or improving their wellbeing.

This is more than just a job. It’s about:

  • Building meaningful relationships
  • Making a real impact in individual’s lives
  • Developing skills you can take anywhere
  • Being part of a supportive, friendly team

If you’re caring, reliable, and enjoy working with people, we can teach you the role through our fully paid comprehensive induction and training programme which includes shadowing our staff in the field.

What you’ll be doing

You might support individuals with things like:

  • Helping them stay independent and achieve what matters most to them
  • Providing personal care (such as bathing, toileting, and getting dressed) with respect and sensitivity
  • Preparing simple meals and offering support with eating or drinking
  • Assisting with medication and keeping clear, accurate records
  • Spending time chatting, listening, and offering reassurance and emotional support
  • Encouraging dignity, privacy, choice, and independence in everything you do

What we offer

  • Paid induction training
  • Paid shadowing shifts
  • Paid travel time between calls
  • Paid DBS Update Service
  • Company pension scheme
  • Monthly staff recognition awards
  • Career progression and opportunities for internal promotion
  • Support from an experienced team, rated ‘Good’ by Care Inspectorate Wales

What happens after you apply?

  • Complete our Fast Track Application online
  • Our Recruitment Team will contact you to discuss the role and your availability
  • If we think you’re a good fit, we’ll invite you to an in-person interview
  • If successful, we will guide you through checks, training and shadowing

The closing date for applications is 25th August 2026. Don't miss this opportunity to join our team – submit your application today!
