Support Worker​/Personal Assistant – Jedburgh

A gentleman with Dementia in Jedburgh, is looking for a personal assistant to spend time with him for a few hours throughout the week to give his wife a break from her caring role.

Terms:

• Hours per week: 4 Hours
• £14.05 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with general care needs including:
  • Personal care assistance as/when required
  • Meal and drink preparation.
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

• Patient and cheerful
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Ability to use your own initiative
• Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client right to privacy and to always maintain professional standards of confidentiality

Experience of working with people with dementia is desired for a candidate however someone with the right personal attributes, and to be able to show some suitability for the role will be considered also.
