A pharmacy is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support the effective day-to-day operation of its pharmacy.
Visa sponsorship may be available for the successful candidate, subject to meeting the relevant UK immigration and sponsorship requirements.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing professional over-the-counter advice and assistance to customers.
- Receiving, preparing and supplying prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Ordering, receiving and managing pharmacy stock and inventory.
- Answering customer queries and providing appropriate pharmaceutical information.
- Working closely with pharmacists, dispensers and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
- Maintaining adequate supplies of medicines and pharmacy products.
- Following pharmacy policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the delivery of pharmaceutical services, with training provided where required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment.
- Protecting confidential patient and customer information at all times.
- Building positive relationships with patients and healthcare organisations to deliver a high standard of customer service.
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Dispenser is preferred but not essential
, as training may be provided.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:

- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays, including approximately one in three Saturdays, if required by the business.
- Non-Dispenser Trained: £12.71 per hour
- Dispenser/NVQ Level 2 Trained: £13.00 per hour
- Advertised pay range: £12.71–£13.50 per hour
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Total: Approximately 40 hours per week
