Position: Associate Vice President, Talent and Employee Experience (12 month FTC)

Job Description

The AVP Talent and Employee Experience is accountable for shaping and delivering an integrated talent, reward, employee value proposition, learning, and culture agenda across Carnival UK. The role ensures the organisation has the workforce capability, leadership strength, and employee experience required to achieve current and future business objectives, while creating a high-performance, values-driven culture that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of an integrated enterprise Talent Strategy aligned to business goals and future workforce needs.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, skills transformation, capability frameworks, succession planning, and talent pipeline development across the organisation.
  • rovide strategic leadership and governance for reward frameworks, employee benefits, and job architecture to support a future-focused employment proposition.
  • Shape and oversee learning, leadership development, and capability-building strategies that support organisational performance and future skills requirements.
  • Define and embed the Employee Value Proposition and employer brand to enhance attraction, engagement, retention, and employee experience.
  • Lead organisation-wide culture, engagement, employee voice, and inclusion initiatives, supported by data, analytics, governance, and continuous improvement measures.
Essential Experience Required
  • Experience in HR leadership experience covering multiple domains (Talent, Learning, OD, EVP, or Org Design).
  • Proven success in developing and delivering integrated talent and organisational strategies in complex, multi-geography organisations.
  • Deep experience in workforce planning, capability building, and large-scale organisational design or transformation.
  • Strong understanding of culture, engagement, and employer brand drivers.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills with C-suite exposure.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong grasp of metrics, benchmarking, and insight generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and scale high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Change leadership capability and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Strategic and systems thinker who can connect culture, talent, and performance.
  • Trusted advisor and collaborative influencer across leadership levels.

Positioned within our internal structure from CUK
15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK
04, offered as a full‑time position, on a 12 month fixed‑term basis, with an offering of hybrid work including up to two days from home.
