As the sole HR Manager for a PE-backed international B2B product SME, you will transition the people function in-house and report directly to the CEO. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle across the UK, USA, and Europe, providing pragmatic, commercially-minded advice while building scalable HR infrastructure for a growing team.

Cardiff, UK

• Lead the transition of HR from an outsourced model to a high-impact in-house function with direct board-level access and autonomy.
• Join a well-funded, private-equity backed international business during a period of strategic growth across the UK, Europe, and the US.
• Shape a people function from scratch for a lean team, balancing strategic advising with hands‑on operational ownership.

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and reward systems for a global headcount.
• Provide expert UK employment law advice and manage complex employee relations cases independently, ensuring fair and consistent procedures.
• Coordinate international people processes, collaborating with local specialists to manage compliance, payroll, and benefits in the US and Europe.

• CIPD Level 5 qualification with 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a standalone role or a small company environment.
• Extensive practical experience in UK employment law, employee relations, and hands‑on management of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Pragmatic, commercially-minded professional comfortable operating without administrative support and advising senior leadership on organizational people risk.
