This vacancy is only available to employees of Cardiff Council including Cardiff Works and Agency Workers currently engaged with the Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new HR team to advise and support Schools and the Education Directorate on a range of employment relations issues. You will work within and be supported by, the wider HR Schools team to provide expert advice and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
About the jobApplicants for the Welsh Essential post must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the Welsh language in accordance with the requirements set out in the attached Description of Welsh Skills and Ability document.

Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will be part of a team providing a high‑quality HR People Partner service for Schools and Corporate Education services. This includes delivering expert advice on complex HR matters such as restructures, employment tribunal casework, escalated employee relations issues and TUPE. You will also support the delivery of wider HR projects and initiatives.
Working in partnership with leaders, stakeholders and HR colleagues, you will help to shape and implement HR plans and solutions aligned to organisational priorities. Building strong, collaborative relationships with recognised trade unions, Governing Bodies and stakeholders will be a key part of the role.
What We Are Looking For From YouWe are looking for an experienced HR professional with a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, and experience of working with schools.
You will have attention for detail and be confident in providing practical advice in line with policy.
You will be willing to work as part of the immediate team and work collaboratively with the wider teams within HR. And be committed to building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure a seamless and consistent service to customers
