PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £65,000 - £70,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.

Join the BBC’s Technology & Media Operations team to shape the future of corporate systems, focusing on SAP and partner solutions. Contribute to delivering and managing complex technical changes and optimising systems to maximize value and align with BBC business goals.

As part of a small, established team, you will influence strategy and drive transformation in Finance and Procurement.

• Contribute to a technical roadmap for systems and services within your scope.
• Act as a coordinator for Small/Medium technical changes, clarifying requirements, managing change processes with an outsourced provider, including documentation review, technical build, testing cycles, production deployment and post Go‑Live support.
• Serve as a trusted team member for larger projects with technical change elements, working closely with Project Management and stakeholders to deliver timely, high‑quality outcomes.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, offering support and influencing best‑practice, achievable goals.
• Work with outsourced technology partners and internal stakeholders to support incident resolution at varied severity levels.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience as a system specialist for Finance modules of SAP ECC and S/4 and other finance related systems, including translating project, user and product requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with SAP Finance and Controlling, SAP ECC6 and S/4, integration knowledge with SD, MM, BW & HR, intercompany, tax, financial statement processes and integration.
• Experience reviewing technical and functional documentation, identifying and revising based on SAP best practice, quality, clarity and completeness.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, translating technical concepts for relevant audiences, including leading requirements gathering and presenting solution options aligning with BBC Engineering Strategies.
• Capability to work in a small team, handling complex technical issues, multiple priorities, managing conflict and using influencing skills to ensure proper commissioning and delivery of projects/assignments.

Desirable:

• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana (FI/CO), Treasury, SAP Netweaver Portal, SAP Fiori, Concur, SAP Signavio, SAP Joule, SAP Walkme, Workiva, One Source, Kyriba, Taxually, Blackline, BTP.
• Understanding of media specific requirements relating to an organisation’s financial operation such as Production Accounting.
• Understanding the necessity of security, access control and segregation of duties in system design.
• Ability to write and communicate complex technology solutions clearly.
• Financial accountancy qualifications such as ACCA.
