Network Technician

A well-established global supplier of new and refurbished networking equipment is looking for an experienced Network Technician to join the team and help maintain high quality standards before goods reach the customer.

What you'll be doing

• Testing, configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment
• Software upgrades and license installations
• Building out the lab and setting up new test beds across manufacturers and platforms
• Writing test procedures and testing optical transceiver products
• Occasional UK field services, including installations, audits and decommissioning
• Technical support to the sales team
• Receiving, inventorying and dispatching equipment

What you'll bring

• CCNA, or equivalent, essential
• Experience configuring and provisioning routers and switches, essential
• Strong IT and Excel skills, great organisation and clear communication
• Self motivated and adaptable to a fast moving business
• CCNP, or equivalent, is a bonus!

This role is a genuine stepping stone toward a supervisor or management position, giving you hands-on exposure to a wide range of networking equipment while you build out and shape the test lab. You'll develop specialist skills in areas like optical transceivers, gain UK-wide field experience, and work closely with sales and management, all with a clear path to grow within the company.
