Senior Buyer - IT Procurement - 12-Month FTC
Location:
Central Cardiff - Hybrid – 8 days per month on site Salary:
Up to £55,000 + benefits
We’re working with a leading Cardiff based Financial Services organisation to recruit a Senior IT Procurement professional on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a key role within the procurement function, supporting technology sourcing, commercial strategy and transformational programmes across the business.
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end IT procurement activity, working closely with technology, business, risk and senior leadership stakeholders to deliver commercially strong and sustainable outcomes.
The Role- Leading end-to-end IT procurement and sourcing, including tenders, supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
- Developing commercial strategies that deliver value, mitigate risk and support business objectives.
- Managing procurement work streams across complex and business-critical technology projects.
- Drafting and implementing IT contracts and securing strong, sustainable commercial outcomes.
- Building effective relationships with technology, business, risk and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and internal service delivery.
- Experience with in similar IT Buyer / IT Procurement role at a Senior level.
- Strong experience leading complex, high-value or business-critical IT procurement projects.
- Demonstrable contract negotiation and commercial management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or strategic technology programmes is desirable.
- Financial Services or other regulated-sector experience is advantageous, but not essential.
