Housekeeper – Cardiff Hospital

Position type: Permanent, Part Time – 30 hours per week

Salary: Up to £25,080.84 per annum (pro rata)

Keeping our hospitals clean is a top priority. We are looking for a Housekeeper who will help create a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing a range of areas, using the latest equipment and products, supported by a first‑class training programme. The role involves room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection, deep cleaning, and maintaining overall hygiene standards.

• Plan and organise cleaning activities to support patient care and ensure the environment is safe, clean, and pleasant.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, providing friendly customer‑service support.
• Maintain good personal appearance and follow cleaning protocols; be motivated, friendly, and flexible.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and maintain the cleanliness of all assigned areas.
• Coordinate with the Infection Prevention team and report incidents to the relevant members.

37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 2 PM-10 PM. Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.

Cardiff Bay Hospital.
