Mobile Multi‑Skilled Technician

We are recruiting a Multi‑Skilled Technician to cover the regional patch, including Cardiff, Port Talbot, and Bristol offices. The role involves performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. The technician will work with limited supervision, providing operational coverage between 07:00 and 19:00 (40 hours per week), and collaborating with the local dedicated engineer and the Regional Engineering Manager South.

• Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
• Monitor building system operations and performance with limited supervision.
• Provide operational coverage on a flexible basis between 07:00 and 19:00 (40 hours per week).
• Collaborate with the local dedicated engineer and Regional Engineering Manager South.
• Facilitate delivery of all workplace‑related maintenance services within the assigned area, ensuring customer requirements are met and anticipated proactively.
• Conduct scheduled weekly walk rounds of offices and complete basic planned maintenance activities, including tap temperature checks, emergency lighting tests, and other checks.
• Inspect the site daily, complete first fixes, and raise jobs for further work outside the role’s competency.
• Track all planned maintenance and reactive tasks through the helpdesk.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and H&S guidelines.
• Keep site folders, including logbooks, up to date.
• Install posters, signage, and boards as requested by Internal Communications.
• Perform general duties such as porterage, escorting contractors, maintaining site cleanliness, and tidiness.
• Support the Workplace Services team as required by company and client.
• Engage with the Workplace Services team to ensure consistent messaging and communications; resolve identified improvements quickly.
• Regularly update Client’s Workplace Services colleagues face‑to‑face on progress of tasks, and seek comments and feedback when appropriate.
• Perform proactive visual maintenance of communal floor areas, including hubs, staircases, coffee points, and copy areas, engaging with relevant Facilities team members.
• Take full ownership of meeting room maintenance, including fabric, to provide the best environment for occupant and client meetings.
• Report issues through the helpdesk, ensuring service requests are monitored and completed within SLAs.
• Offer consultative support and guidance on practical quality, health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on site.
• Complete fire alarm weekly checks as required.
• Adhere to reasonable management requests.
• Support the successful delivery of an agile workplace.
• Demonstrate appreciation of working practice etiquette in prestigious office environments.

• Experience working in a facilities management or maintenance engineering role.
• Experience with reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Degree or qualification in a trade, electrical, or mechanical discipline.
• Strong sense of customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
