Our Estate Services team plays a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming living environments for residents across Cardiff. We work within hostels, Community Living schemes, high‑rise blocks, and low‑rise flats, ensuring communal spaces are consistently well‑maintained and that residents remain at the heart of everything we do.
About the jobWe are looking for motivated and customer‑focused individuals to join us as Mobile Hostel Cleaners
.
In this role, you will deliver high‑quality cleaning services across multiple homes and communal areas throughout the city. You will work across designated sites and be part of a supportive team committed to providing excellent service for all residents.
As part of your daily duties, you will help maintain communal areas such as lifts, corridors, stairwells, and external spaces, ensuring they meet agreed cleanliness standards. You will also work closely with caretakers and other colleagues to maintain consistent standards across all locations, while providing excellent customer service and acting courteously and professionally at all times.
The post is based on a 37-hour working week:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
We are looking for individuals who:
- Take pride in delivering a high standard of cleanliness.
- Are committed to excellent customer service
- Can work independently and manage their workload effectively.
- Are flexible and able to work across multiple sites.
- Are reliable, professional, and motivated.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and are able to drive a Council vehicle.
Experience in cleaning is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
