Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available as a Senior Project Manager within the Cardiff Joint Research Office. The role will provide maternity cover for the Business and Partnership Manager.
Role OverviewThe role will be directed by the JRO senior management team to support a number of projects to deliver a one‑team approach to research and development activities across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Cardiff University. This is a fixed‑term post until 25th September 2026 to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will liaise closely with members of the joint research office senior management team and be accountable bare to the R&D Manager.
Responsibilities- Facilitate and overcome barriers to bringing together the research and development teams across the component organisations to develop a single team culture.
- Coordinate information to populate the website, support the delivery of joint internal processes such as early project reviews and track and compile performance reports.
- Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders such as researchers in CAV and CU as well as external research organisations.
- Ensure the needs of the research community are met and the benefits of the system are effectively understood.
- Challenge existing ways of working to bring about service improvement and to improve systems and services.
- Flexibility and good communication skills.
- Confidence to challenge existing ways of working.
- Desirable to speak Welsh;
Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome.
