ProjectThis is a fantastic opportunity to join our Commercial team and play a leading role in growing and developing our local and regional government and communities business – a key part of our Cities and Places market. Working with councils, schools and government bodies across Cardiff, Swansea and the wider Pembrokeshire region, you’ll help shape the places where people live, learn, work and come together.
From community hubs to education estates to local regeneration projects, you’ll be directly influencing the spaces that define everyday life.
- Managing safe, compliant, and sustainable delivery, upholding Mace’s values and exceptional quality standards.
- Managing cost planning, procurement, and cost management services to achieve strategic client outcomes.
- Ensuring ethical, fiscally responsible operations while supporting carbon reduction goals.
- Managing and developing teams, driving continuous improvement and enhancing cost management practices.
- Managing feasibility, cost planning and procurement activities, producing robust cost plans, reports and contract documentation.
- Managing effective cost control, valuations, change assessments, claims evaluation and post‑contract reporting.
- Ensuring successful contract administration, including certificates, completions and agreement of final accounts.
- Developing and managing teams, enhancing processes, building stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement and carbon‑reduction outcomes.
- Degree in quantity surveying/cost management with strong sector expertise.
- Professional membership (MRICS/RICS or equivalent).
- Proven cost planning, contract administration and commercial management capability.
- Strong analytical, digital, negotiation and communication skills.
