Cardiff University seeks a visionary leader to be the Head of the School of Engineering, one of the largest schools in the University with approximately 2,000 students and 100 academic staff. The Head will provide strategic leadership across education, research, knowledge exchange and innovation within the School and contribute to the leadership of the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering.

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the School; deliver and monitor change initiatives; foster inclusive and ambitious culture; work with the Pro Vice‑Chancellor and Head of the College; collaborate with academic and staff teams; oversee program development and quality assurance.

Outstanding academic track record; strong record of leading large, complex academic groupings; ability to deliver change in an inclusive and ambitious manner.

Full‑time appointment for five years, with a mutual consent three‑year extension, followed by transfer to a substantive role within the School. The role is based at Cardiff University, Wales, and carries a non‑pensionable annual allowance.
