Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of cost and commercial management services across complex programmes, including data centres and mission‑critical facilities.
- Provide strategic cost advice across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to final account.
- Act as a senior client interface, developing and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of project commercial performance, ensuring robust cost control, forecasting, and risk management.
- Support business development activities, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
- Contribute to the growth of the Wales business, including capability development and team expansion.
- Collaborate across disciplines and regions to deliver integrated, value‑driven solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high‑performance and inclusive culture.
- Ensure consistent application of best practice, governance, and commercial processes.
- Promote the AtkinsRéalis Cost Management capability in the regional marketplace.
- Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent).
- Strong experience in cost management of complex, high‑value projects, ideally including data centres or mission‑critical environments.
- Proven ability to manage commercial delivery across pre‑ and post‑contract stages.
- Experience in contract administration (e.g. NEC and/or standard UK forms).
- Demonstrated capability in client‑facing roles and stakeholder management.
- A strong understanding of the Welsh and wider UK construction market.
- A track record in winning work and supporting business growth.
- Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
