Salary: 70,000 to 90,000 (depending on experience)
A respected and long established law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Partner to lead its Cardiff Residential Property Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior residential property specialist with strong leadership capability, technical expertise, and commercial acumen to drive the strategic development of a growing department within a progressive, full service practice.

The Role You'll be responsible for leading and developing the residential property function in Cardiff, including:

Leading and managing the residential property team to ensure consistent performance and service delivery

Handling a reduced caseload of complex residential property matters

Setting, monitoring, and reviewing team KPIs and performance targets

Acting as the technical escalation point for complex legal and compliance issues

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, introducers, and referrers

Overseeing post completion processes to ensure regulatory compliance

Identifying operational improvements and implementing workflow efficiencies

Working closely with senior management to deliver strategic growth and financial objectives

Attending group onboarding at an alternative office on your first day, requiring travel

Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a senior legal professional with:

Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer status with extensive residential property experience (8-10+ years)
Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams

Strong technical knowledge, including leases, transfer of part transactions, and regulatory compliance

Commercial awareness and confidence in networking and business development

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance fee earning with leadership responsibilitiesA collaborative approach and the ability to build trust with colleagues, clients, and stakeholdersA strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
