We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader in the care sector to join Team Meallmore as Deputy Manager at Crimond House Care Home in Crimond, Aberdeenshire.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with our Home Manager to lead, support, and develop our team, ensuring the highest standards of personalised, compassionate care for our residents. You will support the day-to-day management of the home, promote a positive and inclusive culture, and help drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the service.
Role & Responsibilities- Ensuring residents receive the highest standards of person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with all statutory, regulatory and best practice requirements.
- Supporting regulatory compliance and maintaining excellent Care Inspectorate outcomes and standards.
- Leading governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes to drive excellence in service delivery.
- Supporting workforce and succession planning, development and performance management.
- Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Implementing, monitoring and promoting Meallmore’s corporate standards, policies, procedures, and technology systems.
- Contributing with on-call and stepping into the shoes of the Home Manager when they’re away - because we’re all in this together.
- RGN, RMN or RNLD qualification, or an SVQ Level 4 with relevant experience - NMC registration is desirable but not essential.
- Previous care home experience with strong knowledge of Scottish regulatory frameworks and legislation.
- A motivational and supportive leadership style, with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire others fostering a positive culture of leaning, development and progression.
- A professional, compassionate and values driven approach - you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to care.
- Confidence in using a range of IT systems and applications including MS Teams & Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and external partners.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a flexible and proactive approach to meeting the needs of the service.
