About the Role National Energy System Operator’s (NESO) strength lies in our people. Together, we’re shaping the future where clean, affordable energy is accessible for all. Every day is an opportunity to make a real difference, accelerating the progress of sustainable GB energy, keeping people connected and society thriving as we create a brighter tomorrow. The People Intelligence Insights Lead helps the organisation make better people decisions by turning workforce information into meaningful insight.

Rather than simply reporting data, the role focuses on identifying trends, asking the right questions, and helping leaders understand what is happening in the organisation and why it matters. Working closely with HR colleagues and business leaders, the role will bring together information from a range of sources—including people data, employee feedback and business priorities—to shape workforce planning, improve employee experience and support organisational performance.

This role is based in Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements. This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Accountabilities
  • Interpreting people information to explain what it means for the organisation.
  • Highlighting opportunities and risks that support informed decision-making.
  • Understanding business challenges and identify where people insights can add value.
  • Presenting findings in a clear, accessible and engaging way.
  • Using evidence from employee feedback, workforce metrics and external trends to support strategic initiatives.
  • Turning data into compelling narratives that are easy to understand.
  • Recommending practical actions based on findings rather than simply presenting numbers.
  • Looking for new ways to improve how workforce insight is gathered and shared.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues responsible for people systems and reporting.
  • Promoting consistent use of people measures across the organisation.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in people insight, workforce trends and employee experience.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK by the start of employment. Visa sponsorship may not be available for this role and will be considered in line with business requirements.
