Our client, a well-established franchise-approved car dealership in Cardiff, is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Controller to join their dynamic Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a busy workshop and further their career within a reputable dealership group.

Duties:

Lead and manage the workshop team of 7 Vehicle Technicians and 2/3 Apprentices to ensure high standards of service
Plan and allocate work efficiently, maximising productivity and profitability
Monitor individual and workshop performance to meet key performance indicators
Foster effective communication between technicians, service reception, and customers regarding vehicle status
Ensure workshop compliance with health and safety regulations and brand standards
Identify training and development needs within the team to support ongoing improvement
Maintain exceptional workshop standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with brand service requirements

Requirements:

Proven track record of successfully managing a busy automotive workshop for at least three years, ideally within a franchise approved dealership
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Results-driven with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
IT literate with a good understanding of workshop management systems
Full UK driving licence with minimal points
Reside in or within a reasonable commute of Cardiff
